Workplace Giving
Opportunities exist to support our work through corporate volunteering and employee engagement, providing pro-bono support and enabling workplace giving.
Corporate Volunteering
Corporate Volunteering is a prominent feature of most corporate partnership programs. Due to the many community inclusion programs offered by St Francis Social Services, there is a variety of ways employees can engage with our services and work together to make a positive difference to those on the periphery.
Some corporate volunteering options include cooking and sharing a meal with people seeking asylum, conducting a non-perishable food drive for our food bank, painting and updating our client spaces to make them welcoming, gardening, mentoring and fundraising.
Pro-bono support
Sometimes our partners choose to show their support by providing pro-bono professional services. There are many opportunities to get involved and use your professional skills to support St Francis Social Services. Some pro-bono support currently required by St Francis Social Services includes: printing, human resource, editing, plumbing and electrical work. We are also in urgent need of quality office furniture and up to date IT equipment.
Workplace Giving
Workplace giving provides the opportunity for employers and employees to choose to support a charity together to support a charity that aligns with their shared corporate values. Often employers will encourage individual donations provided by their employees by matching their support dollar for dollar. Workplace giving is set up by your organisation’s payroll to generate the nominated donation each pay packet. Because the donation is taken pre-tax, employees don’t need to wait until the end of the tax year to claim their tax deduction.
