The Financial Assistance program assists people seeking asylum who have limited or no income support.Financial assistance is assessed on an individual basis and is dependent on capacity at any given time.

Many people seeking asylum experience financial insecurity and limitations in accessing stable work opportunities. These payments assist clients to meet some of their accommodation, food, transport and healthcare expenses. 

Clients receiving financial assistance are supported by House of Welcome case workers to access ongoing and stable income.
